simpang pulai night fever

I was on my way to pick up my wife on a Saturday night when my friend , Apis called me . “Bro, ada game malam ni.turun la…putra main ngan vtec… ( bro, there’s a game tonight. Putra vs Vtec..come join in).  So, I had to punch my throttle 100% and picked my wife at the bus station and hurried to the Petronas gas station where my friend and the rest of them would meet. Gosh, that Putra must be fully loaded to challenge a vtec..,I thought silently in my head. So we waited for the rival from Manjung to come. It’s been an hour or two but the his rival never came. I don’t know what happened but eventually  a Honda EF with a B16A engine  beat a ferio  on the road, maybe because they’re tired of waiting … so, I told my friend “ wei..tala aku ngan vtec tu.” (let’s roll once with me).so we drag twice, and I’m the one kissing his ass twice. But after that, one by one comes  a challenger challenging me that night. I got sweeped by a Honda, but I sweep 3 mitsu. But that Honda also sweep an evo 3. What a machine he got there. My friend said ( ada ratio boleh la…)so , I sweeped that Putra that night. He’s lucky he didn’t race with that Manjung Vtec…otherwise….hjehehe

turning tides

to be honest , compared B16A/B vtec, mivec lacks the power in the third gear due to its gearbox ratio. But thank god, a displacement change could change everything. that's why i install a 4g93 block to my mivec head (it takes a couple of losses to some vtecs and a blown engine). But still, when you change displacement, you still want to pick on someone your own size too. it runs fine alright, but from here, all i want is a very quick response. i have seen a 1.8 mivec with stock pistons, LSD gearbox and just a VAFC kill the pride of a 3S owner, beat up an FTO mivec v6 on the highway, even make 2-3 toyota owners sell their blacktops and supercharger and this is what i get from him.
1. for a 1.8 mivec:-
a)need to use 2 liters materials.
b? importance of a quick response rather than the feel when mivec engages.you
know when you got quick response, it's impossible for a mivec to feel the way it
is. that's why some people set the VAFC on a higher point than usual.

so, after a couple of tries and some communication between me and him, i install an evo distributor with a set of toyota (i dont know what model but it fits) and a set of evo 3 coil.He even changed my exhaust setup from 2.2 inch all the way to a 1.8 inch straight until my tank, and from there a 2.3 inch piping. We changed the VAFC setup and my god, the response are so marvelous that i wanna scream and shout.but still, his ride was better because he got LSD and i dont.he had a 2nd stage chip and mine was just a raceline custom chip.So i can still look it up in the dictionary, and see my car plate second to his next to the word that says "fxxk u AEF 1898"..haha

Are 15 A enough dear?

The problems with these Japanese parts are, when some gadgets or components failing to work due to mechanical problems or etc. But the hard part is that when we need replacement parts, you either had to choose between a new one or a chop shop one.But the hardest part is making sure that the parts being bought is worth buying for. There's some parts (new) being sold but mostly in Malaysia, parts being sold at the market are clones. I dont get it why there's so many cloned items here in my country and i'm getting really tired of it. i wonder how they sell it. Stupid meters, low class parts and so on, even engine oil.damn hello tho those capitalist...so i preferred chop shop parts most of the time. But yesterday, i dont know  why i bought a second recond denso cloned aircond compressor. I guess the seller's words are like candy to me.so sweet. "you aaa...i assure you that these denso are way much better than your original compressor,"he said. so i tried it out and as i thought recond can never beat the original one. I'm still getting the hang on it. usually i set my air cond at 21.5 C but now i had to set it to 18C just to get the same feeling. But tomorrow if i cant handle it anymore, i just need to chop the taukeh's head off, i swear i will...kehkehkeh.

fuel pressure powered by peer pressure.

last week, i found out why my machine sometimes jerk and sometimes perform well. Other times, knocking like hell, and sometimes it perform excellently that i just want to shout "hell, yeah..."But most of the time after i changed the injectors to 275cc (because the fuel is so lean), it runs like shit. So , after being bored with unstable condition of the car i decided to see a friend of mine ( after he beat me up like my car is thrash) and asks for advice. He checked my machine and said " man, change your exhaust setup, your regulator and most important, the fuel pump. So i had to go shopping for all these kind of things. We went to Ou yong exhaust shop and change the extractor to 2 inch, the piping to 1.8 inch straight pipe all the way to the tank and bent it and put a 2.3 inch pipe powered by a chicken brand apexi 2 inch muffler without a central box. the sound...loving it. the performance, i had to change  my fuel mapping from my vafc and the results are marvelous for 2 days.kehkehkeh. Then i ordered a walbro 255ml from hybrid garage and the taukeh even gave me a second stage chop shop fuel regulator.  i had it assembled and test the response and it was totally awesome. we had the setting run for two days and OMG, all these time it was the fuel pump pressure that's giving me headeache why my machine sometimes drop especially during a long period of driving and after a couple of whacking session ( i thought it was the clutches.) So, three hours ago while driving back from JAPAQ motorsport ( after purchasing a blitz pressure meter for a friend), we ran into two EK'99 spec. one is champion white and another one is spoon yellow. We test the machine with those EK's and it was a sensational feeling that i had for months since the problem arose. but now cam another problem after that whacking session. my air-conditioner compressor is totally damaged. so tomorrow...maybe to chop shop again?

valentine????

There are times when i feel tired and bored with machines. like there's nothing in the world that i can do except spend lots of money on things that i shouldnt have or the things that i could have done but didn't. For example, supposed today i should have repaired the lower arm coz my car's handling are a complete disaster right now but yet, i spend the money on a spare map sensor that i could get later on. Then came the part where i had to go to chop shop to find things or part that is maybe second or last on the priority list and maybe that thing really isnt appropriate like the evo carpet that i bought for RM 50. My God, what a waste of precious money thrown away when the paper bills are on its turmoil and i should be getting gold instead of metal thrash..,.but then again, people will be celbrating valentine's day ( like i celebrate..huh) and that car is like a lover to me before i met the right person as my wife..totally, we had lots of history and common things that we did together, running away from police, hanging with chicks ( what a moronic days ), colliding with a garbage truck and lots of things that couldnt be written coz there's so much to say but not enough space. So, was it worth it to spend lots of money at this piece of metal and yet, today waking up feeling like a loser.?.because the people that i've known way back then buys luxorious home, bought BMW's and EK's and have businesses and etc. In short, they've improved but me..still on the same level of awareness, living a huhaha kinda lifestyle, dont give damn about politics and living in the satellite of my own...my own earth...

well,  i suppose that these short period of my life will end in harmony..maybe i blew up on my earth life and i never ever want to regret the afterlife. So i think it's time to stick to GOd as my savior and do the things that humans should have done as a servant of God. But Motorsports are still motorsports. When all of this is over , i knew that there's friends to hold on to and the people that stands by as a team..

Property properly

couple of days ago, i went to Perlis to see my friend got married. On the way we went to Baling, Kedah to take a hot bath there. On the way we saw many cool cars and some of them are so 'langsi" ( bad attitude). I remember a car with a Penang plate tailgate and rev his car behind my back and because we are not into the mood, we just let it go for a while. He kept revving and revving until he passed us. Because my brother in law drove the car that night, i thought he'd let the car go..to my surprised he chose to give it a kick. We give him a good one alright but that dude i think got angry with us and decided to bypass us on the left. there's this man on the left lane talking on the phone and that car almost hit him and i told my brother in law, "dude ..enough..someone's gonna get killed tonight if u continue the pursuit.."..
Attitude...that's the major problem that we Malysians need to deal with. Yeah, go on, race on the road but race with brains. There's other people on the road too. I wonder what might happen if that car really hit that man...would it be worth it? So when i went back home i told about the incident to my friend and he told me .."dude, Penang is all about guts and whether you ,have courage or not. They dont care about engines, all they care is who have guts and who chickens out first. You lost that day dude.."..and i said "wei... i dont care about winning or losing.motorsport is about making friends after a whacking session..not about being a  complete dumb ass..". my friend said ."you can say what you want man but over there it's just who have balls..."and the time really came when on the way back, an accident occured. Guess what, those who have balls are the ones crying seeing their machines all messed up..talking about who have big balls here...hehehe
To tell the truth, i hate people tailgating. Even a BMW dont tailgate people closely. tailgating causes accidents. but i love to see people who tailgate get to eat smoke..coz they have the advantage from behind. so, back to basic, there's no replacement for displacement. Sometimes smaller cc's tailgate big cc's car and it would have been fun to mess with them but even sometimes you got beaten back..hehe.seems like we underestimate those smaller cc's.. but in the end, we make friends. that's the fun in it..heh.but, involving in street race there's a lot to think about. The roads, the traffic, peoples and so on and it would not be cool if the fun is spoiled with a tiny mistakes. some cars love to whack other people engines. because their cars are factory tuned, they intend to make modified car owners pissed off and pursuit until their engines blow. been there.some like to pissed people off by hitting the brakes during high speed, some even show the F sign after being beaten..what the hell.So the conclusion, just play safe on the road please!!!

when a 4 puck crack like nuts

About 3 days ago, My friend and i planned to sent his car to the my mech's workshop somewhere in Manjung, Perak. The night before that my car feels strange. There's a misfire every time i change my gears and it feels like there's something wrong with the clutch pump (common factor ). So, before we went there, i made a quick gearbox service in the morning and when that taukeh open the gearbox, we concluded that there's nothing wrong with the clutches. He bled the clutches and, and check the clutch pump but everything's ok. So i change the gear oil but i noticed some metal dust coming out of the gearbox and from that time i knew there's something wrong somewhere. Anyway, we installed it the right way and i'm off with my friend to Manjung, 80 km from Ipoh.
It was then when suddenly i couldnt change my gears totally and the squeaking sounds from the gearbox shatters that afternoon saying "damn it Rahman, dont push it too hard dude.".... i made an immidiate stop while my friend in his car gave a question mark kind of face, the gesture that i really want to spank him right there, totally...So, without further ado, i punch my double signal switch and kick my car, cursing real bad. I called my mech and he send a tow truck . It cost me RM 300 for the gearbox servicing and the towing. What a day...
Later, when we reached my mech's place, we found out that my clutches damaged, but uniquely it's not broken but the center shaft are being grinded by my drive shaft gears... OMG... i will never buy any custom things ever again and from this day i pledge....anything custom..i fxxk...anything i fxxk...it's custom.

a thing you called 4g92: baby, hold on tight!!!

a thing you called 4g92: baby, hold on tight!!!

baby, hold on tight!!!

Back in 2007 ( i think), i was hanging out with my mech in Second Link, Johor. That's where we all had fun on week nights testing our machines with all those johorean car lovers. I was with EP, my mech in his car. we had just arrived from Kluang and were having a great time whacking his silvertop MIVEC with all those 92 twincam and those 93's. Moments later, things did'nt  turn out well when suddenly a police helicopter swing above his car and to our surprise the lane was blocked. a factory bus was blocking our lane and the other side of the highway is blocked by a trailer. About 200 cars scatters all over the highway finding each possible exit that they could get and the streets were all messed up. Then the police in uniforms starts coming towards us and we were in for it. 500 people all escorted to the Police stations and we were all quarantine like immigrants without visa's. Eventually, we made it back the other day after paying the fines ( RM800) just to get his car out.

Later that day i went home and my friends asked me "where u've been?"..i said "jail"and they laughed about it. but i dont really care coz i'm so damned tired and went to sleep. Later that evening, my friends were all shocked to see that my mech's car is in the news and tomorrow the front page of Metro Newspaper. What a night.
As i am writing this, i kept thinking where i'm getting my skills from. how to drive and shift gears, how to manuever in lanes full of cars and how to respect rivals and make street racing fun. it was all from them, my southern friends. As i moved back to my northern region, it isnt working that way like always. Motorsports here is just about whose got a better engine and what body part you have..but it's ok..because here in the north, i learned lots about performance parts and tuning that makes the scenes here different from the southern region. Southern people tune their machine to the tuning shops but over here there are many independent tuners who tune way much better than those taukeh's...and i would like to become one of them. But really, both the northern and southern have something in common...a desire to race and RND over their machines. but because of all these, my wife to be is so fed up with me and i think it's just about time to let it go and just drive like common drivers do..hehe.hold on tight baby....

mineral or synthetic oil???

As i was driving through the streets of Jelapang, i met a friend of mine. his ride is also a wira 1.8 mivec with stock flat 81 mm pistons powered by a unit of VAFC. we met and have a chat about handphones and stuffs but mostly it's about cars and cheap performance parts that we could get here in Ipoh. About 15 minutes later, i found out that i have a leakage somewhere between the oil filter and the oil sump." Money again"..i mumbled out those words as i checked thoroughly the leakage. i think it's because of my car's height. With a lowered spring and standard pressed shock absorber, my chances of my bottom body kissing the tyres are high.. As i checked i noticed that there's a scratch on the surface of the oil sump cover. so, i have another chat with my friend and he asked me what type of engine oil that i used...so i said to him that i dont really care as long as it's cheap but good response...i have tried those Caviaga's, Idemitsu, Penzoil's 15- 50 w and also castrol VMX that stock mivec uses. So my friend ask me about the response of all those oils...and i said.. "ada bezakah?" (are there any differences?) And he said that he had been using a lot of Engine oils too. Torco, Wurth and all those oils that he could get out of the performance shop...and he believes that those racing oils really have an impact on the performance of the cars.. Those Q8 and torco oils are good, but not suitable on the road for multivalves, he said because it evaporates quickly..suitable for track use...Motul..as he stated, are the best, but due to cynical price, it's not worth it buying that kind of oil..so, forget it. Other brands especially the 20- 50 W's are totally a thumbs down.
So i wondered if he's telling the truth about all the spec that's he's given me.. all these while, i just stick to 20- 50W and 15-4ow's. But it feels alright.. i think that the response are ok... so why should i change to those expensive oils? But as i was driving to my friends Workshop in Tesco Seksyen 18, i though about asking him that question. He gave me a thumbs up and said, "Good food for healthy mind." What the fxxk is he talking about? But he gave me SUMO M2 mineral oil. He said my old engine fits best with mineral oil.But he gave me a 10 -40 W and said "this is original Japan maa..."..hehe.so i tested it and to my suprise it really does give more response than those i have used earlier..feels like i'll be using this oil for a long time..hehe..the price is acceptable and the response is good, the packaging is neat but the most fun is that it's more fun driving on the road... cool...

Abg J

Law inforcement are so strict in Malaysia. Sometimes it kills people creativity to develop RND in Motorsports and so on. yeah, we agree that you're doing your job as a road law inforcer but dont you guys have a heart? a few weeks ago a friend of mine is on the road with his wife heading north to his mom's house. On his way a group of inforcer is making a roadblock near a toll ( we pay roadtax but yet we still need to pay for the roads...freaky isnt it?) when dan officer ordered my friend to the side...he said that my friends exhaust is loud. but the problem is that his exhaust are stock from Proton  (SAGA BLM), but yet he got a ticket and he cursed that officer until  he reached his mama's place in Sungai Petani...
A case like that also happens to me yesterday... i almost got a ticket because my back lamp isnt working. i tried to explain that the cover dropped inside my body but he wont listen. so, i lift my back bonnet and adjust the lamp and said.."there you go sir, like new..."..but still not satisfied he asked if my car colour are like the one in the record...and i said yeah but he wouldnt believe me...so i told him to check in his computer and that officer is really wasting my time...lastly i had to say that it's a waste of time and say that i also work for the government and the summons that he might gave me would go into our bonuses. so, just let it go....after hearing that he got leanient and he let me slip that time...
That night i kept thinking why do you guys try to find mistakes ? you guys keep talking about Malaysian drivers drives like fxxk and that accidents kill malaysian more than cigarettes when you should look at the real point and see it from the people's point of view.. why do we hear Malaysians die in  accidents? first, it's because of beaurocracy. Government gives tender to Contractor with enough amount of money. Contractors subs the tender to someone else and get cash for free. the sub contractors sub the tender to another low budget contractor and the last contractor makes the road not accoording to spec because the money given aint enough for them to pay their workers. so, if the road should be 4mm thick, it'll be reduced to 2 mm. After the roads are ready, heavy trucks and lorries uses the road sharing it with cars and motorcycles. Due to its weight, the road starts to crack and gotten damaged with holes and stuffs. then at night (hypothetically writing) a car fully loaded with a family uses the road unaware of the condition and hit the holes. His car got damaged. Lets say that he saw the hole and decided to evade it but in front of him another car is approaching fast...that's when accidents happen...(and it happens every months...)so... we need good road PLEASE!!!!
Then came the safety of our cars. to help national cars sell their cars, government gives AP to imported cars. so, if Malaysians wants to buy an imported car, they need to pay the tax 2 times it's original price. it makes imported cars expensive. So, no choice, Malaysian buys national cars and Proton and Perodua got it's car of the year award every year. But during those years, did they improve the chasis and the safety of passengers inside? i'm guessing not. Maybe the answer should be 'yeah'but how much money should we throw out to those company? even today, people need to pay an expensive price if they wanted two sets of airbags for the passenger and the driver. not to mention the chasis quality like a coke tin. But yet, the price is high. We pay high price even for our national cars so that these capitalist companies make profits. Then they say drive carefully guys..but i say 'hey shit..quit making low budget cars and kill your own citizens."...but they dont understand.......
Because of the low quality of cars...people modified their cars to ensure safety for them on the road. Good aftermarket absorbers are being selled like it's candy. people even changed engines to make sure they have enough power to overtake a car in front. Then came ABG J and kills people creativity and enthusiasm.you cant do this, you cant do that. When a wira with an evo III engine overtake the ministry of transport, they traced his engine. from that day, no wira are allowed to swap to a 2.0 engine. why are you afraid? ashamed a 14 year old car can overtake your luxorious car on the highway? People who got killed in Malaysia are not the ones with big engines Mr. Ling...it's your policies of giving a 660 cc to a compact car and a single cam 1300 cc for a sedan..those are the ones we hear a lot getting into accidents due to its limit in overtaking a car. next those bigger cc's involved in accidents and die due to good chassis, then the attitude of drivers ( drunk, too fast and so on )..if you want to make this right..change your policies and stop being a low life thug...

Please kill that dude

A jammed solenoid is like throwing your mivec head away. i've had that experienced once. OMG it really breaks my heart. tried to find a new one but a dude from Batu Caves wants to sell his part for RM 1150 ($300++) for a unit that's about the size of three fingers with a spring inside. What a lousy price to pay for a new one. to find a used solenoid is like throwing RM 1800. but you get a complete head with cam and valves. So, if you were me which one will you choose. i'd stick with that RM 1800 i guess. but in what really happen ,my friend and I opened the head cover and put that jammed solenoid in gasoline for hours and clean it afterwards with WD40(anti-rust)..maybe next time we'll show you how it's done. But, it's not my problem that i'm concerned. it's about my friend who just join the mivec community by buying a MIVEC halfcut and installing it into his Satria (in Japan it's called a mirage cyborg R ). His Mivec opens but the sounds is just so-so. we tried doing the solenoid cleaning but still, just a little improvement. His exhaust setup...hmm... i think it's an A, his mod, still stock but a little adjustment on the intake and ecu....but yet, i dont understand why it's hard to tune his machine...engine checklights sometimes flashes and we traced and got rid of the problem. it's MAP sensor fault...i think that soelnoid need to be cleaned again since his halfcut is in the chop shop for so long....about 2 days later he complained about the trouble gettind top speed..."wei man, why cant i get 180 km/h in a short period?"he asked.. so i told him to get a 2 inch piping like i had on my previous block but he said that his friend told him to put a 2.3 inch piping on his ride..so i told him even a 1.8 like me only use a 2.2 inch piping. it's quiet enough for a 1.8 mivec, i said. sometimes i wonder why it's so hard to tune the way we wanted it to run but in the end when the setup is complete, we'll be screaming inside our car with an enormous smile and thanking God for a unique machine like this.that's what i've been feeling after all the hard work, the effort and the money thrown away just like that for the satisfaction of my ride. Of course, it might not be the fastest in Malaysia..hehe..but at least we enjoy our ride on the road with no regrets..............................
