Lying is the best thing you could do when there's no job around

It's a bit harsh about this topic...dont you think? I started loving cars from year 99 till i got my first car around 2004. I installed 3 engines and waste 3/4 of my salary back then just to make sure that i would rev that machine like i wanted to. Meet lots of mechs and friends along the way.and..... actually that's not what i want to write about today...
You see, i've been thinking today where my friend just got back his car (of course a 4g92 MIVEC) with matspeed cams and heavy alteration and got 190 HP...Got to love his ride. But to get that satisfaction, he'd thrown away lots of money which he doesnt care, but complaining about his mech who rolls his money on different occasion and finding out that he could not roll back the cash to make my friend's project a success. So, the plan to make it a mivec 1.8 has been reduced to 1.6 and lots of the plans are never been realized. But it's okay, still i respect his mech, even though that car is stuck in his garage for almost a year, he could manage to figure it out and produce a good 190 horse in a 1.6 MIVEC ( even my machine could'nt get that high HP..haha...is he dynojet or dyno dynamics? hehe).
So that's what i want to talk about today.... HONESTY. I found out from my personal experience that you should really choose your workshop. In Malaysia, i dont think there's a lot of workshop who could tune up MIVEC. Most workshop thinks that MIVEC tuning is the same as V-TEC...screw them all. Could you go piping up 2.2 inch pipe to a 1.6 MIVEC like they used to say to me back then?...sluggish shit..or put a trumpet kind of exhaust in a 1.6..where did you get all of these shit man? When would they learn to produce a good revving engine,it should  start from the inside and needs calculation to all those thingamajigee that you throw inside?? That's what i found out...majority of these people in my states said that "wah.. MIVEC aa... very good engine lo..." but do they know that stock MIVEC are zero compared to other engines. Yes dude, that's why i mod this engine after frustration that the performance of it is worse than my 6A10 engine. It's not a bug, but i do see some good mechanics out there like the son of Pak Latib Batu tiga or that garage with their themes "MAG1C"...you know who you are...but my favorite is some guy in Sg. Buloh who modified cars in his backyard but smoke pot to make his tune up a great one...you're the man..haha.. But mostly, i found out that when i went back to my state, i see no foreman or mechs...i just saw some guy or company trying to make money. They do it for money, not enthusiasm. Like a new case, i ordered a 311F5M gearbox, this guy ripped my money. All he had in his stocks are 211F5M gearbox...what kind of guy is that? Or another guy 2 weeks after that, ripped my money too but this time i got the thing that i ordered, a clone 159 YU 29 timing belt wrote SUBAKI on it..which he sells at the cost of an original one but i could do nothing because I pay first. So, here in Perak, for me there's only 2 workshop to go to..one .JAPAQ autowork (but you're so far away..haha) or the second one, a friend of mine which i could rely on..the rest... i'm so sorry, i rest my case in all of you guys. Because of douchebags like these.. i may lose my spirits in motorsport...so run along......hehe

Oh my tappet..

Yesterday.... my mech and  I went to MAA dynoworks at Permatang Pauh, Penang. The Previous day, he went alone with my car to make a dyno run with dyno dynamics at Mael Evo workshop. He said that he was on the dyno from 1700 to 0200. Whooaa.. it means that there must be a problem. You see MAM 226 is a car that really get me on my nerves sometimes. When i make some alteration here and there, i knew that she will give me trouble somewhere.. The last two days when my mech tried to run it on a dyno, MIVEC wont work. I was at home that time when he called me and ask about the wiring that i loop when i install the AFC Neo. I was surprised when he said that the RPM on my tach only revs as high as 7000 revolution. So they had a hard time altering the problems and yeah, he was dissappointed and had to go back home without satisfaction. Sucks!
On the other hand, i used every resources i could get on the internet, and thanks to MIVEC.co.nz, i manage to find some resources regarding why MIVEC wont work. First it says that maybe there's a problem with the ECU...sucks... Second, the oil sump has a dent.Next, lack of oil pressure, and last, worn camtray or bearings...perghhh...cost a bomb. Anyway, i copy paste the forum and send it to my mech, and i dont give a damn about it because maybe i trusted him??lol.. but yesterday when i went to the workshop, he thanked me for giving those forums and said that the problem is with the valve clearance..Shit..So , he adjust it to 10/20 mm and MIVEC works fine eventhough on lean fuel..So, double the work, we shoot back to Penang and had it dynoed.. Sucks, I only get 170 ++ hp on dynojet due to the thickness of 1.5 mm metal gasket..should have used 1 or 1.2 mm. But when riding it home, i feel that the horsepower is enough la since i no longer prefer racing this piece of junk. So, from now on, i dont think i'll be racing in the streets again, haha...

Fuel..and how it burns...

Yesterday, i was hanging out with my mech, JAPAQ autowork. It's been a year and a half since i met him. Since i seldom seen him, i hear rumors  him turboed (am i spellint it right? haha) my friend's 92 sohc and install a new zealand 93 on another Wira hatchback, also a childhood friend of mine. The rest are RVR's from Kampar and other neighbouring states and cities. It's so hard to see him nowadays because he's into this new phenomenal business called " the runner boy and chop shop items." hehe. he runs a mini halfcut now and guys,if you ever need an item and lives here in perak, i strongly suggest his garage especially if you blow your gearbox coz i tripped twice today because of the gearbox that are scattering on his garage like garbage, if you know what i mean.

To be honest, yesterday was the most frustrating day of my life owning my car. I just bought a new unit of AFC neo, i mean the new design at racing fit auto at sunway. I was like buat -buat terkejut (shocked) when the taukeh's said " this unit is RM 1650." i asked for the older version but you know businessmen, haha... So with the help of my friend, i successfully installed the AFC without any problems and contact my friend Jeff from Teluk Intan for the initial hotwire and pressure setting and so on. The day after that i gave it a decent on road self setting without wideband and we were almost close to get the optimum setting (at least according to my ears and the colour of the plugs) when i think that that the cam pulley setting should be retard 1 degree on the exhaust. So i place a piece of cloth under the cam pulley, near the timing belt, in fear of the allan key might get into the timing belt and the water pump gears. As we were setting and talking, the setting had been done and so Apis, my friend even ask me if i checked everything and i said "yeah." he closed the hood and i tested the high revving rpm again. You know what, that piece of darn cloth got sucked into my timing belt pulley and jammed everything. While i'm writing , i didnt even know how many valves got broke, but one thing for sure, it cost me RM 220.00 for the timing belt because it's a 159yu29 timing belt (evo 9) and RM 68.00 for the water pump ( i didnt even pay in full yet), RM 120.00 + RM 50.00 for the towing...Sucks.. I just spend RM 1800.00 for a new set of those lame Mines low high soft hard absorber, RM 1650 for the AFC neo and RM 1500 for a new paint. For sure, i'm broke. I spend money i dont have dude..money that i dont have.

So that is why i ended up back to basics, where it all starts..JAPAQ Autowork..hehe...That's where he asked me " hang nak buat spec cam mana?" ( what spec do you want)? This time, he suggest me to higher my gasket and just play around 16 to 17 bar of pressure. I asked why? He said that ron 95 nowadays are like shit. Feels like ron 92's and even if you get all excited with the 20 bar of compression inside, would it be worth it? he asked me if " can you stand to buy 114 Ron fuel?" Would I dyno on ron 95 or 97? would it be sweet to hear pre knocking sounds in the afternoon? Or would i sacrifice and retard the timing on the distributor to clear away those knocking sounds... i said to him, go find the valves first. I think he thinks it's easy to find those mivec valves..mati la....aiiiyyaaaa!!!!
